Remember Intelligent Energy? Their ambitious electric and hydrogen fuel cell-powered ENV bike made waves with its mountain bike-inspired construction, and the British company has now teamed up with Suzuki to build the Crosscage, yet another concept showing at the 40th Tokyo Motor Show. The motorcycle features a lightweight air-cooled fuel-cell system and a high-performance secondary lithium-ion battery intended to save the planet, though aesthetes might simply appreciate its zoomy snout and unusual profile.
Also showing at the Suzuki booth is the Biplane, a more Blade Runner-ish looking bike that's powered, ironically, by a good old fashioned internal combustion V-four. Neither aeronautical in appearance nor biplaned in function, its perimeter brakes and streamlined bodywork hint at the not-too-distant future, while its floating horse saddle-style seat keeps one foot in the past.
